Preventative Surface Care
To help retain the good appearance of your floor, preventative care practices should be put in place from day one. Passive and active preventive care is the most effective and simple methods of keeping your floor looking good and reducing wear and tear.
The use of dust and grit trap mats in entrances and indoor barrier mats for wiping feet effectively keeps dirt, grit and grime outside and prevents tracking from one area to another.
Cleaning up accidental spills as they occur as quickly as possible is recommended to prevent stains setting in.
Sweeping and vacuuming floors regularly keeps them free of dust & grit and reduces build-up.
It is recommended to allow at least 4 hours before replacing furniture after deep cleaning floors.
Mopping floors with a pH neutral detergent, such as Research Products SUPASTAR NEUTRACLEAN or SHINER also helps reduce the likelihood of a stain setting in.
