Graffiti Removal
Due to the different types of surfaces, the procedure for removal of graffiti and protection of surfaces can vary. In all groups, regardless of the surface, the longer the graffiti has been left on the surface, the more difficult it will be to remove.
IMPORTANT: Pretest on plastic and painted surfaces in an inconspicuous area before use.
Porous Surfaces (rough or smooth i.e. stone, concrete, terrazzo, bricks etc.) Porous surfaces are far more difficult than non-porous surfaces as the graffiti penetrates into the substrate and requires a 3 step remedial system:
- Apply Research Products GEL SOLV by either a cloth or brush. Due to the product's gel formula, it will cling to vertical surfaces. Allow to penetrate for approximately 5 minutes, and then agitate with a scourer for smooth surfaces, or stiff brush for rough or uneven surfaces.
- Rinse thoroughly with fresh water or pressure clean.
- Apply Research Products OVEN & GRILLCLEAN to shadowed areas where graffiti has penetrated the substrate. Allow to penetrate for 5 to 10 minutes, and then rinse with fresh water. IMPORTANT: Read Safety Instructions of OVEN & GRILLCLEAN as this product is highly alkaline.
Non-porous surfaces (i.e. glass, plastics, metal etc.) Apply Citrus Resources ORANGE SOLV by either a clean cloth. Allow to penetrate for approximately 5 minutes, and then remove and rinse with fresh water.
